I haven't been in a hospital without free wifi in several years.

edit: oh, yes. I'd have skipped tv and two meals a day for internet access.

I would do without. Though after a week I'd probably start getting itchy for internet.

I like to read so I would try and get a friend to grab some books for me. TV is useless to me but having no internet would start to get to me.

I must admit I got through several books, but the other patients kept distracting me, and the nurses, and the doctors...never mind the snoring at night, or the one guys who watched TV at 4 am, I did spend hours designing a method of killing him without discovery

EDIT: I failed, but spent an interesting time in the staff toilet but unfortunately fell asleep before I could complete my plan (or not, you guess)

did you try yelling at him? I thought hospitals gave you personal headphones for your tv though.

But was that the only thing you paid for, or was it a part of your insurance which you had paid for?

As I had to pay nothing at all, I did not want to have a bill (plus I am skint) but if it was a part of an insurance policy I might have taken full advantage ...but then again, who wants to be the annoying noisy one in the ward?
