That would lead to autarchy, which results in a reduced standard of living for every party, compared to embracing freer trade.

So we went from a system of autarchy to a system of ever-increasing globalization "free trade" and the standard of living went down for almost everybody. How exactly is reversing this trend going to reduce the standard of living further?

Keep in mind: Living off of debt DOES NOT improve the standard of living in the long-term. Also, I don't give a flying fuck about the the living standards for the chicom rice-niggers.

You may commence.

As for standard of living lowering, what do you mean? It's getting better! https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File%3AHuman_Development_Index_trends.svg

The reason is the following: when you isolate yourself, you not only become able to produce everything, but also MUST do it.

Globalization allows specialization. Countries produce what they are good at, and trade for what they want.
