I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's worth. Banks are going bust. Shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it. We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as if that's the way it's supposed to be.

We know things are bad — worse than bad. They're crazy. It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out anymore. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we are living in is getting smaller, and all we say is: 'Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone.'

Well, I'm not gonna leave you alone. I want you to get MAD! I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot — I don't want you to write to your congressman, because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is that first you've got to get mad. You've got to say: 'I'm a human being, god-dammit! My life has value!'

So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell: I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!

I want you to get up right now. Sit up. Go to your windows. Open them and stick your head out and yell - 'I'm as mad as hell and I'm not gonna take this anymore!' Things have got to change. But first, you've gotta get mad!...You've got to say, I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE! Then we'll figure out what to do about the depression and the inflation and the oil crisis. But first, get up out of your chairs, open the window, stick your head out, and yell, and say it: I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!

If you're not pissed especially during this election cycle, then you're just not paying attention.

That's why there is such a big push for marijuana to be legalized

Legal does not mean consumption. Legal means removing the police/court/prison aspect.

Legalizing something cannot coerce anyone to use a thing. Prohibiting something CAN make someone lose their freedom, livelihood, and lives for the same thing.

And people fall for it hook, line, and sinker.

Idiots. Medicinal use, anything goes, but certainly not recreational.

Walter Cronkite (and Tim Russert) successfully hid their biases. This is honest journalism, like it or not. Everybody with guts and two brain cells to rub together has an opinion. The professionals can overcome the urge to edit their remarks and will respect their audience's ability to sort through the "facts". Sadly, no professionals are left.

Cronkite was a piece of shit. Our guys btfo the gooks during TET and this piece of crap described it as a humiliating defeat.

John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) of Sex Pistols fame, walked away from the cynical exploitation of Malcolm McLaren and the freak show the band had become, and started PiL/Public Image Limited. One of the better songs "Rise" finished with the repeating chant "Anger is an energy". Last several years that line has jumped back into my mind constantly. When the fucks are grinding you down, it's not just okay to get angry, it's necessary for your sanity if not outright survival.

Some verses from the song are pretty apt in OP's context too:

Your time has come, your second skin.
You climb so high and gain so low.
Walk through the valley.
The written word is a lie.

They put a hot wire to my head
'cuz of the things I did and said.
They made these feelings go away,
model citizen in every way.

Anger is an energy.
Anger is an energy.
Anger is an energy.
Anger is an energy.

Additional fun fact about John: was literally the only famous person to say something against Jimmy Savile back in the day. Said he wanted to kill him in fact.

It's really true. If you're angry it's cognitive dissonance. If you're good you will find answers and free yourself. Then you'll be happier and more able.

It is always those who see both sides of emotion that can walk away with wisdom. All emotions are reflections. Here's a quote: Your sorrow is your joy in another reflection~anonymous. Same goes for all emotions. They are there to guide, not dictate behavior. (yeah, hippie but it's true....so let me have it if you can't help yourself)

Me too, dude! Lol and I’m like “call me a redneck, a whore.... doesn’t matter cuz I’ll high-five ya on all of it anyways.”

On a serious note though, I always thought that they kept everything offensive bc of the whole melting pot/white genocide thing. Never did it occur to me that it’s bc of controller anger. Wow! Good one!

i think it has a lot of value to them. in my opinion the most potent benefit that they receive is an outright unwillingness to acknowledge reality because reality is offensive. once you have people denying obvious facts in favor of friendly sounding lies they become an open canvas for manipulation.

Whores are degenerate and are free to fire upon in the streets though.

I wouldn't label myself a whore, if I were you.
