So the tax payer buys the gun, the gun gets rinsed by the government and then the government sells it back to the tax payer?

Genius.

They're probably decades old and worn out.

Speed is king for defeating body armor, 9mm is better than .45 for that and you don't need steel or a penetrator core, just get the mass low enough and the velocity high enough. The 1911 is also perfectly concealable, tens of thousands of people CC it every day.

Sounds like a good home defense handgun though.

If only the coastal cities and democratic counties would secede. I wish the eastern and northern counties could just join a different state.

We'll take reluctantly take Butte County as well, just because we'd have to.

Im in mendocino and there are lots of super based people here but this county is run by liberals who were paid off to push the soros agenda.

I'd like to talk about why the hell does it cost $2 / day to store each gun? Do they get daily massages, or what? Do they get taken on walks to the park?

  1. Apply liberal amounts of cosmoline or other gun oil. $5 / ea
  2. Pack with descant pack into air tight sealed bag. $1 / ea
  3. Pack the guns into wooden crates. Maybe 200 / crate. $800 or $4 /ea
  4. Markup on all of the above. We'll call it 400%. So, $40.

So, $50 / each fixed cost. Say you need to store for 30 years, that's < $0.005 / day per gun.

Then, we need security. So, 500 crates. They can be stacked 4-5 high. So, maybe 1000 sq ft. I'm sure we can find 1000 sq ft at an existing army base at no extra tax payer expense.

I really hate government waste. (But, I'm repeating myself.)

Alternative title: Trump signs the 2018 NDAA, including the portion that Obama added permitting the extralegal rendition, detainment, and disenfranchisement of US citizens by the federal government for an indefinite period of time, without due process of law and without access to a lawyer.

It's been in the NDAA since 2014, so I'm going on the pretty safe presumption that, like the PATRIOT Act, "emergency measures" become enshrined in law permanently, like all of the ratcheting mechanisms of government.
