My question is how can you bear to listen to NPR for months straight?

It's a good idea to know what others are saying and thinking

I agree. Good on OP for suffering through it for the good of us all.

No doubt, but the question remains. How could you listen to them for months straight? Just hearing their voices makes me feel sick after about 2 minutes even if the content of their speech is inoffensive. They use a totally fake NPR accent that is simply enraging.

But after all this exposure of propaganda it is hard to bear whatever X person they bring on to interview. Radio has been around longer than the TV, and the Internet, they've mastered ghostwriters and picking the perfect voice with an accent to pull at the audiences emotional strings. Not saying there haven't been actual people with real stories BUT its the same group that has fed everyone shit through CNN, MSNBC, Facebook, Google, etc

I wake up to it, mostly because I can't stand the local talk radio. It's at least good to know what BS they're spewing while referring to themselves as "news" all the while it's just interviews with their opinions interspersed.

I also leave it on during the day for the dogs to have some background noise. Unfortunately they're communists now and demand free food and healthcare.

Ha! I was going to warn against exposing your dogs to that but I see it's too late.

My local station has ads around town with the word "Trusted", literally the only word on there. It's hilarious to see them try to dig their reputation out from the shitter.

Being able to listen to people who disagree with you is a sign someone is confident in their beliefs and can back their beliefs up with provable facts, if they have to.

Feeling unconformable around different opinions is a sign you're not confident in what you believe, because you're afraid the other side will start making sense.

Most definitely. Though there is a difference between being uncomfortable around differing opinions and being angered by them. Lies portrayed as truths presented for the gullible and innocent to hear is a frustrating thing, more frustrating still when few outlets are provided for those with differing opinions to speak.

Or maybe you know that they are going to spill bulshit after the first two sentences and you don't want to waste time listening to more bullshit.

NPR shouldn't be funded by tax dollars anymore. If they are pushing fake news propaganda, they aren't helpful so they don't really serve a constructive purpose anymore. The last thing we need is even more fake news, let alone fake news fund by tax payers.

Since they receive government funding, they should be required to have the balance of both conservative and liberal reporting and opinions. If they can't meet that requirement, they should be defunded . . .

Defunded? Funneling taxpayer money into a cause that promotes the overthrow of an elected government is clean-cut treason. The leadership of NPR should be put to death.

I'd be happy if they would just report the news, why am I threatened with prison (not paying my taxes) so this radio station can pay people to talk about their opinions all day, and only one opinion at that? If you ask me, it's fucking laziness and serves absolutely no purpose to the American public. If they just reported the news, then at least they would serve a purpose.

Years ago NPR had some quality reporting, but now it seems to feature Millennial 'reporters' who couldn't get a job at VICE. I really cannot listen to one more dolphin-squeak or voice-fried kid spouting Right Think, frequently mispronouncing and misusing words of more than one syllable. The slant of any feature is always predictable so there is no point listening to NPR since they are just a propaganda outlet.

This is the worst part. What the fuck is up with that? It's like half have gay lisps and half speak like braindead teenage girls--even the guys.

For those of you who haven't heard this type of male speaking, here's a good example. Listen at least up to 1 minute: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY96hTb8WgI

I always chalked that up to Jews in the media. Even before I was redpilled about them, I was noticing how people on podcasts and radio sounded a little bit jewish. Later someone pointed this out as "vocal fry".

Joe Posner is a jew, and others who work with jews will naturally start talking a little bit like them, just like whites who move to the south start talking like southerners. It's all dialect. Since on the radio they can't squeek like they usually do, they'll drop their voice into something that sounds like vocal fry.

Women are the most noticeable though. Very distinct. I don't mind the vocal fry so much though, it's probably the one thing about Jews I don't find offensive.

Define "years ago". NPR has sucked since at least the mid-80s, probably longer.

I listened to NPR for a week recently. It was nothing but virtue signaling, white guilt stories, Trump bashing, pro refugee propaganda, and holohoax tales all day.

This what I notice in the workplace. Complete lack of accountability., leading to increased costs, decreased productivity, etc. And it starts from the top. The people don't hold the top officials responsible, so they don't hold the rest to as high a standard as they should.

I have listened to NPR all my life, literally, my parents listened to it when I was in utero. And recently, I just can't even. It's politics bullshit, STRONG WYMYN of COLOR, immigrants, and puff pieces. I just switch over to some mindless pop station most of the time unless it's science Friday, wait wait don't tell me, or some of the book reviews. I guess the CA report is okay as it talks about local information fires and stuff, but if I hear one more goddamn story on " how would the world be like if whites were the minority and blacks were the majority" (seriously this was a piece) or how an illegal immigrant is scared they wont be able to go to college, I am going to punch a baby with another baby.

And now that Garisson Keiler is retired and one of the Tappet brothers is dead, the weekends suck too.
