It's also biblical law but average IQ for Muslims in Muslim countries is 81, compared to say 103 for average white Americans. That does have an effect.

Someone knowledgeable correct me if I'm wrong, but Leviticus says that God said that to the "children of Israel," not to Christians, and, even if he did, the so-called sin of homosexuality was forgiven by Christ when he died for all humanity on the cross. http://www.creationliberty.com/articles/homo.php

By comparison, the Quran says that sodomy (including heterosexual sodomy) is such a sin that they make heaven and earth tremble, and all the sahabahs of Muhammad (his "companions"/disciples) agreed that the transgressors must be killed (but they differ as to whether they would be thrown from a height, stoned, or burned). https://islam.stackexchange.com/questions/226/what-does-the-quran-say-about-homosexuality

It's important to note that I didn't go to an anti-Islam source like religionofpeace.com to get that summary from the Quran. I went to a pro-Islam site and picked the highest rated answer.

Thanks for the stack exchange link! It's pretty useful to have readily cited non-primary source for this stuff. I don't get how anyone could not get that Islam hates gay people like every other religion but with the contingent to actually act on it

Well, to be more specific, the Christian New Testament offers the opportunity for forgiveness of sins following repentance. The Christian Old Testament goes with repentance (usually in sackcloth and ashes and wailing and gnashing of teeth) followed by animal sacrifices. Neither is a blanket pardon for ongoing behavior as written.

My rather limited understanding of the Q'ran is that it goes with more of kill-the-sinner approach without a "go and sin no more" escape clause.

Doesn't take a genius to figure out what happens when 1+ billion people take a book from 600AD seriously

The Bible was first written thousands of years ago, and there are 2.4 billion Christians....

Oh wait, were you trying to contrast your beliefs with muslim beliefs? lol

I'm waiting for the atheists to rage openly with the same hatred against Muslims as they do with Christianity.

I'm an atheist, but I'd rather live in a 100% Mormon town rather than with a bunch of faggots from Plebbit.

Citing Mankind Quarterly doesn't really bolster anyone's argument.

"If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them." Chapter 20 verse 13

And let's not forget that Christians are required to kill homosexuals, too!

The difference is that today's Muslims are actually doing it while today's Christians believe in something to do with evergreen trees and yellow marshmallow bunnies.

Oh don't worry, some still keep the faith with attacks on abortion clinics, too!

This case is still being heard:

The suspect had previously acted against other clinics, and referred to himself as a "warrior for the babies" at his hearing.

And here's an oldie... the Christmas Day bombings!

PENSACOLA, Fla. — The Christmas Day bombings of three clinics where abortions were performed were meant "as a gift to Jesus on his birthday," one of four persons accused in the attacks said Thursday.

Kaye Wiggins, 18, appearing close to tears at a news conference, said that she had tried unsuccessfully to dissuade her fiance, Matthew J. Goldsby, 21, from carrying out the bombings.

Wiggins, Goldsby, James T. Simmons, 21, and his wife, Kathy, 18, have been charged in the Dec. 25 bombings. The two men are also charged in the June 25 bombing of an abortion clinic.

When asked why the bombings were carried out on Christmas Day, Wiggins replied: "As a gift to Jesus on his birthday."

Goldsby and Simmons are being held without bond on 16 counts of violating federal firearms and explosives laws.

When was the last time a person of the Christian faith citing the church as the reason for slaughtering gays? Islam has a big problem with radicals killing in it's name. They're hardly, if at all, combating it.

All the Christian denominations I know of follow the new Testament. In the new testament it says they can be saved. I don't know a single Christian who thinks you should kill gays. How much research did you do before you spit that out?

Wow, so did you read any of my posts? I hardly talked about people who think you should kill gays - I was too busy talking about people who already murdered them because of their Christian beliefs.

The regressive left's response:

no true scotsman mudslime fallacy.

B-b-b-b-b-but abortion clinic bombers!

There's no honest comparison between terrorism committed by christian fanatics and muslims, despite how hard the regressive left desperately wants to push this false equivalence in order to support their "muh ideology".

Catholicism/Christianity has gone through a reformation, whereas islam is still stuck in the 7th century because mohammed (shit be unto him) is considered to be perfect, despite child-fucking, conquest, intolerance, and the rest.

Advocates of a would-be muslim reformation like Ayman Hirsi Ali-- who has the temerity to advocate against female genital mutilation etc -- is considered to be a hatemonger by regressive leftists.

It's time to stop grading cultures and religions on a curve.

PJW -- some cultures are better than others.

Actually Muslims want to kill all infidels. That's everyone not a Muslim.
