Not just that, but those who work for companies that do online commerce know how much this will hurt them. Not just in sales but they would have to have tax details for every zip code they ship to and know how to calculate all of it and how to remit the payments to those locations. Right now they only have to do that for states they have a physical presence in. And sometimes state and local laws are a mess. For example, where I live food is not taxed fully for the state level but at the local it is, except some cities have exempted portions of their local taxes also. That is why there are companies who charge good money for databases of tax info and software to calculate it.

Of course she does. Has a politician ever met a tax they didn't like?

Yes.

Relevant text:

So I am announcing an over $2 trillion tax cut that would repeal the entire IRS tax code—more than 70,000 pages—and replace it with a low, broad-based tax of 14.5% on individuals and businesses. I would eliminate nearly every special-interest loophole. The plan also eliminates the payroll tax on workers and several federal taxes outright, including gift and estate taxes, telephone taxes, and all duties and tariffs. I call this “The Fair and Flat Tax.”

One of the reasons I like the guy, he seems to be the only one running who knows what the hell he's doing.

The rest of the world calls his "Fair and Flat Tax" major tax cuts for the upper class.

I loved his dad and I like this idea, but Rand is creepy in a way his dad was not.

She doesn't think they'll get out and vote. We need to prove her wrong.

Exactly. Become a Democratic delegate and vote to endorse the actual /v/progressive Bernie Sanders.

She doesn't have to worry about alienating the techie vote. She just has to worry about alienating the techie vote worse than the Republican candidate.

I resent Republicans for being owned and operated by so many private interests but Democrats are controlled by the WORST one - Hollywood.

We have this insane notion that we will never be entertained again unless we cave to draconian Hollywood copyright schemes, and let this affect so many unrelated areas of our lives.

Not just Hollywood, let's not forget Obama's biggest campaign backer was the NYSE.

This is ridiculous, democrats and republicans have done nothing but attack small businesses and make it harder for them, while corporations are paying less taxes than ever! Fucking scumbags all over capital hill.
