While the Iron LEFT is very far-left in many respects, we’re socialists. Not communists. The problem with communism – aside from how it’s all too often ended up serving as a springboard for cruel dictators like Stalin or the North-Korean dynasty – is that it casts the child out with the bathwater. Private enterprise is a powerful tool that can do much good for mankind. As such, while it would be foolish to abolish it, it needs to be strictly regulated by the elected government to make sure it serves the people… and not just itself.
‘Race’ is simply a synonym for ‘extended family’: your cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. of the nth degree. That’s why you share traits such as hair color, facial proportions, or lactose (in)tolerance. And as with any family, performance may vary. Some families are full of great musicians, others… aren’t. And that’s not purely a matter of opportunities. However, just as no one should be judged by their family affiliation but instead by their individual accomplishments, likewise, no one is to be judged by their race but instead by their individual accomplishments – rendering any notion of ‘racial superiority’ irrelevant.
Science is ‘magic done right.’ As such, science (including math and logic) is the one most potent tool of empowerment at mankind’s disposal, and the only valid source of practical, reproducible knowledge. That stated, science in and of itself can neither answer any ethical questions (though it should definitely aid by providing relevant data to take into account – such as pinning the point when new human life comes into existence through procreation) nor does it supersede personal choice.
BODY & SOUL
Inspired by the musings of Schopenhauer & Nietzsche as well as by contemporaries like David Chalmers (and also by John Carpenter’s movie Big Trouble In Little China), the Iron LEFT hypothesizes a mind-body duality, whereby physical incarnation is the dynamic enabler of an otherwise static ‘soul’, which steers the body like an avatar (possibly via quantum interaction as the interface between both spheres). It’s only through incarnation that the ‘soul’ can experience any form of pleasure. Thus, incarnation is basically a drug trip in one sense, and man’s true one ‘Garden of Eden’ in another (see also: Hedonism).
One of the biggest ironies of our day is that on the topic of abortion, the self-professing ‘left’ defends a radical far-right position, while it is conservatives who’ve adopted the true leftwing stance – albeit with ulterior motives on either side. The true leftwing stance of course being that the right to live is a paramount human right universally held by all human beings, no less by those in a weak & vulnerable state – such as a child in the womb. Therefore, the Iron LEFT is pro-life… and doesn’t give a fuck how ‘God’ feels about it.
ABSOLUTE VS. RELATIVE MORALITY [New]
Leftist morality, as understood by the Iron LEFT, is the ethos of humanism, and as such can be viewed as the postulation of both, an absolute morality and total moral relativity. Absolute morality, because humanism identifies the human scale as the only meaningful pivoting point of any moral consideration, and moral relativity, because in doing so, humanism places morality entirely in the hands of human consensus. Even proponents of diametrically opposing worldviews concede to this regularly by invoking the threat of hellfire, the bribe of 72 virgins, etc., attempting to persuade others adhere to their (nominally) non-humanist morality.
