I used to lurk reddit just to check in on the times. I felt it was my way to keep up with the times.
I caught wind of voat and poked my head in a few times here and there. Initially I was turned off by all the nigger-faggoting but my curiosity kept me checking in. About 2015 I was leaning a little left and thought it was ridiculous the reality TV star Trump was running for president. Really?
But when the left played their hand around 2016, the bullshit started to become more and more clear to me. I was gradually redpilled and began to see reddit for what it was. I guess I kept checking in on voat because there was a feeling in my bones telling me there was something more to the picture.
I try to keep myself well rounded on my views. Currently, I browse reddit just as much as I browse voat. I suppose I do that just so I can witness both sides of the coin and compare one to the other. The recent "bomb" threat became extremely polarizing. Initially hearing about it from reddit, something seemed off. So many details just seemed off that I couldn't quite convince myself it was just some typical right-wing nut trying to blow up some Dems. Just didn't seem right.
How did all these packages show up around the same time? Who orchestrates this whole shebang and neglects the fact that these high-profile targets MORE than likely don't open their own mail? Liberal media flaunting the pictures of bombs as evidence of right-wing violence? It just felt so wrong. All the comments pitifully saying "this is so wrong", "who does this", "wow trump supports r retard". Not one single comment allowed that would suggest something more to the picture.
Why I decided to stick around voat is because shit isn't being censored. There aren't columns of [deleted] posts and censorship. People can say what they want.
I appreciate voat for what it offers. I disagree with a few of the things that get tossed around, but I can deal with that. What makes me stay is the fact that you faggots can say whatever. Just because you can call someone a nigger-faggot-jew-retard reminds me that anything goes here. I'm not just getting one side of the coin. It really makes you see how most of the media that people are exposed to is trying exceptionally hard to program them into one lane of thought and I find that disturbing.
So, about me:
I love my country. I love the opportunities that have been fought for us to have. I love what we have accomplished. I love our soldiers and the fact that there are bold motherfuckers out there picking up the fight so I don't have to. So I can work the job I have a passion for and spend time with the people I love. I can afford to live comfortably, eat good food, and drink cold beer. I can live in peace and sleep comfortably knowing that I can proudly own the rifles resting in my closet. I don't believe Trump is literally Hitler, and I believe he has done some terrific things for us Americans.
I believe free speech has no exception. I believe wholeheartedly that it is okay to be white. If I meet someone of another race, it is up to them, just as anyone else of my own creed, to prove to me their worth and how they deserve to be treated.
My boss is non-white. He has been a terrific mentor to me and I count myself immensely fortunate for the opportunities he has offered me. He counts himself just as lucky for the opportunities we have and shares my pro-American sentiments.
I am proud to be white. I am proud to be a man. I am proud to be American.
