So we are planning our first raised bed vegetable garden for the spring. It will be 4 ft x 8ft and likely about 12-14" high (set over-top my nice loamy lawn soil).
I'm starting simple with potatoes, eventually adding in garlic, probably a couple of tomato plants and some greens. These seem like they'd give me a good return as a beginner. What are your thoughts, voat gardeners? I always overfill my perennial beds so I'm trying to be careful with vegetables. And I don't want anything too fussy...the tomatoes will likely be the most needy of this set, but I love fresh tomatoes. Would there be room for a cucumber plant so I can make my own gazpacho?
Thanks for any advice you can give!
