Apparently black pepper is so expensive that it was cheaper to come up with an artificial flavoring for it??

I dunno why nuggets need preservatives in the first place. They're frozen, then dumped in the deep fryer, then served to you.

Pepper was the original 'black gold'.

Mcdonalds nuggets have 25 ingredients

There's another report out there on how they prepre the chicken, which is sterilizing it with ammonia then adding back the "chicken" flavor. The ammonia does something to your heart making them addictive.

here's one article of many

Yea, as a scientist, chemicals with scary names don't frighten me.

Yes, but McDonald's doesn't make people fat. People make themselves fat. This isn't McDonald's hate!

I'll eat at McDonald's a couple of times a year, usually to grab breakfast on a multiple-day drive during vacation. Oddly enough the preservatives or something seem to keep the food from giving me an upset stomach while driving, which is exactly the opposite of what you'd expect.

Ehhh... I'm not a big fan of food hate either but we all know that some food places really are just garbage. Usually if I have to eat fast food (away from home, not really many other options but yeah, I try to avoid fast food places because of God knows what they put in the stuff) I will pick McDonald's just because at least you can get non-fried options there and stuff like yogurt - loaded with sugar I'm sure but hey if you have to pick the least of the evils as to what will make you ill (fried foods make me physically legit sick).

I think it's really just the irony in the post itself and the fact that they are trying to pander to their regulars to trick them into somehow thinking they are concerned about what's in the food. It's like how some of the big cereal companies have been making a big deal out of no longer using artificial coloring never mind the fuck TON of sugar they put in there. That's what I got out of the post anyway, not actual food hate.

The fats will be like:

"Wow , now McDonalds is healthy! I can eat all I want!"

I wonder if that does anything to the caloric count in any of their items. Probably not.

I find it funny people are more concerned about that then another study released about fast food giants (such as the ones you mentioned) allowing an acceptable amount of human waste/cockroaches and other bugs/human skin into their meats.

Oh barf. Thanks for that. Human shit, fupa skin, and roaches - definitely not a mental image I needed. As if I needed another reason to avoid the fast food giants and the (apparently human shit and roach remains) stuff they pass off as "meat".

I heard that McDonalds and other places buy meat in bulk that is essentially dog food and clearly classified as "Not fit for human consumption" and they treat it with ammonia and other chemicals to get it just above the necessary testing threshold and then ship it to a store near you...

Personally I'd never eat there again but I don't begrudge people an occasional taste that they like even though it's bad for them, do your research and make your choices.
