Two more in semi-arid South Africa. You may have them in the Northern Hemisphere.

Euphorbia Ingens (Candelabra Tree). A nerve poison for fish. Dam off a bit of river. Break chunks of the plant (poisonous sap) and throw them in the water. Fish float to the top (paralysed). Collect them, kill them, and eat them. Flesh is not poisonous – it’s a nerve poison.

Sanseviera (Mother-in-laws Tongue). Chew the root for thirst.

Willow one was interesting. I always thought if contained the salicylic acid and didn't know it was a metabolite of salicin.
