^^ Mr.Pim post .. which I agree with but for different reason(s), shown below
<tried to reply in the thread, below..no could do--so start this one>
onto what I wanted to reply..............................
Voat rule :
You agree to not post anyone's sensitive personal information that relates to that person's real world or online identity.
"sensitive personal information". Its not defined. But I think most would agree that this includes:
1) social security #
2) gov't ID and related info (#, exp. date, etc)
3) telephone number, unless otherwise easily available
4) medical & other sensitive documents which the person took measures to keep private
.. maybe others
IMO does not include:
Name, address, birth date, picture of person, etc., unless that person took extra measures to keep such things private, are not "sensitive personal information".
Doxxing is generally discouraged but I don't see a Voat rule about it. Your name is not "sensitive personal information".
I saw the link that @theoldones provided, show here:
The ban is likely for more than just giving out non-sensitive info.
The "reason" given is "Dox" but that is just an entry in a form and does not detail everything and Voat is not required to give a full explanation and certainly would not include the facts that lead to the ban in its on-line post.
