It’s a first offense. Three years probation is not nothing.

It was completely premediated.

The victim was completely passive, not threatening anyone in a sitting position.

That weapon strike could have easily killed him considering all the force of the strike was focused on the small key-hole portion of the U-Lock.

It's the equivalent of running around with a hammer and hitting people in the head, that lock is probably heavier than a hammer

It was not his first offense. It was his first offense in front of a judge. He was caught on video attacking multiple people with locks. There were wide reports of his violence. At a minimum he should have received a couple of months in prison AND three years probation.

He is a violent fuck and should be treated accordingly. Likewise, he did earn at least a short stint as a reminder of where his violent tendencies will drive him.

We have his dox... it would be a pity if some one were to spread his address phone number, and place of work around.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. How is he going to get months in prison?

First offense gets probation anywhere.

If you think probation is a slap on the wrist, you’re an idiot.

You don't think he should go to jail for an assault like that?

Nobody goes to jail for a first offense. Certainly not for a brawl at a political protest. I don’t think he should be treated any differently than anyone else just because you don’t like his politics.
