I want to make my intentions for this subverse very clear, so everyone knows what to expect from the start.
The current rules:
1) Keep discussion related to the topic of this subverse (obvious)
2) Try to be nice to each other. I understand once in a while, you may get angry. That is fine. However, if you are only here to be nasty and never contribute any discussion, you will be banned. This may sound subjective, and I hate subjective rules. However, I'm not sure how to word this more clearly. As long most of your posts are on-topic, you are fine. Also, I will give you a warning before you are banned. You won't wake up one day and find that you were mysteriously banned.
As far as moderation:
The only reasons I will delete a post is if it is off-topic or does not further any discussion. I will never delete a post because I don't agree with it. If I ban a user or delete a post, I will let the community know. If the majority of users disagree with my ban, I will reverse it.
Concerning the future:
As of now, the two rules listed above should be enough. However, if in the future I decide the subverse could use a new rule, I will bring it up with the community. If the community agrees with the rule, I will implement it. If the community does not agree, I won't implement the rule.
I think this covers everything I want to mention about the running of this subverse. Over all, I want this to be a fun place, and I want to keep moderation to a minimum. I believe minimal intervention is the best way to run a community like this.
I'm not well-versed in CSS, and I really don't feel like putting in the time to learn how to properly code it. As such, this subverse will look like this until/unless someone who is well-versed in CSS comes around to design something custom. The most I will do is create link flairs if I feel more are needed.
