Most people don't hate. What we actually hate is being manipulated and treated like children without the capacity of independent thought.

What we don't like is someone else elevating themselves to a absolute moral authority and trying to supress dissenting opionions.

Some times innocent people like trans people who are only minding their own business get caught in the firing line.

It's (not) funny; the folks on /r/ainbow have their binders in knots over a group that doesn't even affect them, but they don't give a shit about a community that pretty much exists to say "LOL Tranny"

Their own sub introduction text:

Gender Critical is a subreddit to analyze gender from a critical perspective. We are a radical feminist and women centered community. This is a place to think critically about gender, the erasure of lesbian culture and the appropriation of women's spaces. In short this is a place to discuss radical feminism without fear.

Hi, I have a question. I formed an opinion on the transgender thing a while ago. And it goes like this: There are people that identify sexually, spiritually etc. as Wolfs, Elves, Unicorns, Rabbits etc. Basically as I see it, it's a kind of a mental disease and transgender is too (IMO), we aren't rushing to change the physical appearance of people that think they are unicorns in human bodies (yet), therefore we shouldn't do it when gender is the topic (This opinion was enforced by an article written by a gay guy talking about how transgenders stole the gay movement - I'm straight if it's relevant).

Now, may be I'm being an asshole, I don't know, but I guess my questions is, where do you think I'm wrong and why?

(I think this comment belongs in some subvoat like ChangeMyMind or InformMe or something)

My words mean nothing since im not an expert by any means, but the whole "otherkin" thing seems like a special snowflake fad/fetish to me
As you mentioned, they identify "spiritually" as something else like an animal or even more bizzare, objects like planets.
The medical diagnosis for transgender is F64.0 Gender identity disorder. It usually comes with depression and a whole array of other mental illnesses from what ive seen.
Drug abuse is very common in the trans community too. I tried MDMA the other day and god fucking damn it felt awesome being happy.
It takes like 2 years in most places before youre even cleared to get hormone replacement therapy. Due to personal life, i had to come out late (at 20) and i mentally cant handle to wait so long to transition, therefor i just order the medication from the internet which is fairly common too. Would be harder for FtM's tho since they need testosterone.
But yeah... is it a medical condition? absolutely, in my opinion. Getting help/transitioning helps in order to become a functioning member of society and not attempt/suceeding with suicide. Theres a figure thats thrown around, like 50% of trans individuals attempt or commit suicide. Im not asking for special treatment in my pursuit of happiness. Although it would be nice not to be publicly discriminated against for being yourself. The other month some bulky russian guy threatened to break my nose in a grocery store because i look like a fag.

I dont know anything about otherkin, it could sound like something mental illness related. Maybe theyre just people riding the nexts tumblr fad. http://da.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Otherkin

Hope that gives you a little closure.

"We ban behavior, not ideas."

...for example, behavior like: expressing those ideas.

Do we think they would delete a community designed to hate straight white males? I highly doubt it and hope someone puts this to the test.

I'm surprised that doesn't already exist in the brave new reddit.

It does. /r/againstmensrights is a thing and they are 100% serious, openly brigade, harass, and doxx, and do so with impunity. As long as you hate men you are free to spread that message under Pao Jong Un's regime.

I just made one, doubt it will get popular enough to bring the admins' attention to it, but I thought it was funny regardless.

You don't need to post to np here. Reddit won't ban us for brigading here.

[–] uncommitted 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

As far as I know, the only rules are if it's legal in Sweden it's legal here.

Well I don't have to worry about that. I used to have the same username on reddit but I deleted my account yesterday and said good riddance.

very highly doubt that. why would reddit want to encourage people to leave reddit and come here?

I was wondering that. And my brain should have given me that answer. Thankfully I have the Internet to think for me.

It of course got downvoted and removed /r/SubredditDrama because it supposedly didn't cause enough drama and a commenter says it's because of 'ban evasion' that the sub got banned.

Even if it was due to ban evasion, then it to me seems that 'ban evasion' is a bad reason to ban in some cases. It allows and has allowed admins to ban ideas as those new subreddits haven't harassed anyone yet, with in this case but also previous cases them specifically stating that harassment is not allowed in either the sidebar or as a sticky on the frontpage. If a subreddit clearly states they are against harassment and will enforce rules against it, then banning them before they had a chance to prove themselves is censorship under the guise of ban evasion.

What they are doing is called Prior Restraint, and they are completely ignorant of it. Prior restraint is forbidden by the first amendment, and other countries have similar laws.

Of course, prior restraint laws don't apply to reddit admins, but just because it's legal doesn't mean it's right.

Instead of "ban evasion", it was actually learning from a previous ban and implementing the desired change. However, the stated desired change is not the actual desired change.

Ellen Pao is the death of Reddit. Political correctness is the harbinger of doom to any civilised society. Not everyone is equipped to be a winner, someone has to be prepared to pick up the shit when nobody else will.

As an Australian, I have not got the right to Freedom of Speech as United States of America's citizens. While I don't have it physically and geographically, the internet is the one place I did have it. It was Reddit where I found my spiritual online home, amongst many subs. The claim of "banning behaviour not ideas" is absurd. I had received death threats and other horrible threats, which only abated when I took them from the shadowed world of the Private Message. The light of an enigmatic and unquantifiable number of witnesses is amazing and liberating. Exposing bad behaviour is better at eradicating it. Caring about the factors involved and working to address them is how the world is changed for the better.

But that is not what happened here. Here we are witnessing one of the pivotal moments of hypocrisy in our contemporary time. It's on the scale of the signing of the Magna Carta - at knife point - by King John, which coincidentally was 800 years and 2 days ago.

Revolution is coming, RIC, and people like Ellen Pao (and mainstream media) hasten its' arrival. The citizens of this world will not accept this bullying, manipulation, misinformation and exploitation for very long.

Viva Voat.

For me the worst part about all this is the dismissive Redditors who act like if you're upset at all it's simply because you want to harass fat people, and now matter how many times you explain FPH was just one change of many they do not listen.

Seriously, how hard is it to just implement a 'Block Sub' button in native Reddit, similar to what we have in RES?

Buht Reddit isn't the gubbment. It doesn't have to follow common decency. Go spew your hate somewhere else shitlord /s

I was pissed back when PCMR got banned originally for the same thing even though SRS, againstmensrights, and subredditdrama get to harass and brigade with impunity.

There is a "block sub" feature, but only if you have reddit gold. You can filter subs out of /r/all with it. Or just don't subscribe to FPH.

But reddit has been subverted by Pao to be a SJW hugbox instead of the open platform for the exchange of information an ideas like it was created to be.

It's an infuriating bait & switch. Once they got millions of users they turn it into their vile platform and ban people who disagree under the pretext that it's harassment.

I've never subscribed to /r/fph, I browse /r/all because it helps me find subs and interesting submissions I would have never seen.

The problem we have is now with all the reddit fuzzy boundaries they can basically do anything they want and justify it as 'muh safe welcoming space'.
