Hey made an account to comment

There was a thriving Caucasian slave trade in antiquity, centralized of course in the Middle East. The top notch slaves were the whites. Lining up with the Silk Road trading of your language link, the most successful Arab (slave?) traders would no doubt own harems of whites. They slowly bred themselves white in the small world of Silk Road dominance.

They should be brown if they are from the Middle East and maybe that’s how it started but then I can imagine the competition to be top trader would select for trader genes and big time because they can influence the closed gene pool so much by breeding with many slaves.

Excellent story. Thanks. I'll have to do a little more research into this area. The Ottoman Turk empire (ruling class) used to breed with Whites so the royals and the aristocracy were lighter skinned. Another interesting bit of info is the Ottoman empire had a military group made up of whites who were captured in infancy and raised in seclusion and trained to be fierce warriors. Poor guys didn't know they were trained to kill their own families when sent into war against them and they were fighting on behalf of those people who murdered members of their families. I can't remember what these warriors were called.

Yeah the Turks seem central to this. I had heard that slave army story but I forgot it, something like the first born son was the property of the warlord. That was the ottomans? Man they were all about slavery. Brutal.

About the other point, I realized after how nicely that lines up with the Jewish story that they were slaves in Egypt. Because really they look useless as slaves but if all the women were slaves, it makes sense to get added to the story.

Really interesting stuff. Hope to hear more.
