Carlin really nailed the social commentary. This early to late 90s period, I think, was probably his best. Fans of Carlin are probably already aware of these two, but if you're not, make sure to check out Lenny Bruce and Bill Hicks...equally sharp wit that never seems dated.

Welcome Daka! I agree, people have become pretty intolerant of competing/alternate ideas. I enjoy a good discussion as well...and I think that art has either been lost or never truly existed. Discussion isn't changing someone's mind...it's an interaction.
