A former roommate has reappeared in my life and might kill me. How should I proceed? submitted by malandric to AskVoat

Borrow another $1000 from someone who doesn't own a gun, pay them back, then move to a town far away, grow a beard, and live under an assumed name. And don't forget to pay back the new person even though they don't have a gun.

UN says encryption vital to free speech, calls on US govt to end 'backdoor' push submitted by robertrobot to technology

runvnc 0 points 10 points (+10|-0) ago

Lol. Yeah, because the US government is trustworthy and is here to save the world.

The state grew directly out of the concept of organized crime.

All governments are obsolete. I wonder if voat has subs for rad_decentralization, polycentric law, ethereum etc.

Israel wrecked my home. Now it wants my land. submitted by COUSCOUS to Worldnews

runvnc 2 points 10 points (+12|-2) ago

Its obvious to me that the war never really ended for Israel. It just went into slow-motion mode covered by bullshit.

Israel gets away with it because that is a key strategic area they are slowly encroaching on and they are the US's ally and proxy in that location. If the US really wanted them to stop then it would have stopped years ago. In the eyes of the empire one more genocide is no biggie.

With the possibility of a purge today, just a fair warning for you guys submitted by DreamsAndSchemes to MeanwhileOnReddit

I would not be concerned about srs. I would be concerned with illegal obscenity and pictures of dead babies etc.

I think voat should nip that from the outset. Not every single thing needs to be permitted.

John Carmack working on Scheme as a VR scripting language submitted by Orbitrix to VirtualReality

runvnc 2 points -2 points (+0|-2) ago

Why is it that only things that Carmack, Musk or Sanders say apparently exist or matter?

They are actually repeating other people's ideas, and regardless, we should judge ideas on their merit rather than some kind of celebrity authority.

How Bernie Sanders plans to win, and change Washington submitted by ideasware to news

I thought this was the gay one. But actually not, supposedly 'independent'. Yeah, right. How long has he been a politician? He's still a politician.

He wants 'democratic socialism'? Let's be real. It is essentially a softened form of communism. How well has that really worked for any country? Really its unlikely to result in equality. Probably it will make things more centralized.

The institutions are fundamentally out of date and need to be completely revamped. Emulating Europe is just going to lead to an even shitier economic situation. But that's just the first step on the road back to where the powers-that-be want us: feudalism.

Well, I say, skip to the feudalism. At least then I would probably be allowed to build a hut in a field somewhere as long as I coughed up enough vegetables. I have been learning about wood frame construction, aeroponics, aquaponics, regular farming, etc. I am ready.

Wannabe communism is so far from solving the problems. I am actually anxiously awaiting the arrival of the robot overloards. No way they could be as retarded and greedy as the people running things now.

He's going to 'change' Washington? Where have we heard that before? Oh, and what website is feeding us this? CBS? What's their logo again?
