A Sanders vs. Trump general election would be a dream-come-true scenario for American journalism, based on the narrative alone: a man who is calling out the corrupt billionaires vs. a corrupt billionaire.

It wasn't Bernie Sander's decision to make because the Seattle rally wasn't part of the Sanders campaign. He was invited to speak in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Medicare. If you watch the video of the incident, you can watch Sanders tell the activists (who were part of Outside Agitators 206, not Black Lives Matter) that they would have to talk to the person running the event.

Obviously, you can't control for every factor. But the research does take important things into account, such as occupation, education, marital status, etc. And it provides hard numbers for them, which is contrary to the claims of the original article, which says that such things are not taken into consideration. At least the research is honest enough to admit its shortcomings. Which is all the more reason to take what it does say seriously, because it tells you this upfront.
