It's part of being an American. The idea of freedom and choice. Vote if you want to and don't vote if you don't want to.

Our current electoral system leaves much to be desired if you are truly thinking of making a difference.

Do you ever have full on conversations with your pet? submitted by 30dB to AskVoat

I find that people that haven't had pets don't connect with this idea.

What are your personal criteria for upvoting and downvoting? Have they changed at all? Do you have different criteria for different subs? submitted by oozeling to AskVoat

I generally upvoat participation even if I don't agree because it helps carry the conversation and add perspective. If someone is just being an ass or trying to bait others into an argument, then I don't do anything with it. I reserve downvoats for shit that needs to be flushed.

Mine is complicated. It's biblical and not common at all. Few people listen enough to actually hear that my name is not mainstream so it's always confused with any number of other names. When I was younger, I hated it because no one ever got it right. Now, I see it more as a temperature gauge of whether or not someone is actually paying attention or gives a damn. So, you can say it grew on me. Me likes.

What would you recommend for an alcoholic drink that doesn't taste like alcohol? submitted by G4 to thedinnertable

Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka with Sweet Tea.

Clearly you have to like tea and/or sweet tea. But the sweet tea vodka and sweet tea can be 'too sweet'. So I tend to order unsweetened tea and then add the sweet tea vodka. It's a little dangerous because you forget you're having an alcoholic drink pretty quickly.

We've debated this one a bit around here. Because his father said he was furious after seeing two men kissing in Miami. What if he was gay? And one of the two men kissing was someone he was involved with? And that pissed him off. And somehow that someone was supposed to be at the club in Orlando. And maybe that triggered him deciding to follow extremist views. Or maybe he's just a brainwashed terrorist. Just sayin'.
